Get Rid of Belly Fat Now:Avoid the Pitfalls

You’ve done the hard yards to melt away your excess belly fat.  But you realise that the closer you get to your goal, the harder it is to stay focused. but now is not the time to let your guard down.

Here’s how to avoid those ‘nearly there’ pitfalls and get rid of stomach fat for good:

1. The Plateau : You will find losiong weight easy at first, but there will come a time when you may plateau.  If you do — you must stop the negative self talk that says ‘I can’t do this’ or ‘It’s just too hard’. Best yet, stop looking at the scales for the week, and try different positive goals like eating 1 more piece of fruit for the next 7 days, go to the gym tomorrow or cut out liquid calories for the week. By setting smaller, achievable goals every day it will give yourself a sense of achievement and momentum.

2. Change you eating habits : Review your eating habits - think twice about what you are putting in your mouth. And plan to eat more mini meals a day, and control your portions by eating from an entre sized plate only.  Lastly, when you’re at the supermarket, shop smart and don’t bring home the bad foods.

3. Reward Yourself : But not with food.  Again set yourself a weekly or monthly goal and reward yourself with an incentive. Why not deposit $10 into a ‘pamper myself’ bank account towards something special like a new outfit, a spa, or a weekend getaway once you reach a goal.  That way, it generates more of an incentive in celebrating your amazing achievement.

4. Forget the Cardios : It is not the best way to get rid of stomach fat. And very few people have successfully used cardio to lose stomach fat. If you want to get rid of stomach fat fast, you need to increase the intensity of your workout by using both resistance training and interval training to lose stomach fat.

5. Vary Your Diet and Exercise program periodically.  Look at changing both programs on a monthly basis to reduce to the possiblity of hittng a plateau. Small changes, such as increasing the intensity level or mixing up the meals can make a huge difference to your fat loss.
